Description

The Asociación Paraguaya de Espina Bífida y patologías similares (APAEBI) was founded on April 17, 2016, and brings together parents of children with Spina Bifida and adolescents and adults with the condition. The association began with a group of parents who participated in research on the therapeutic adherence of children with neurogenic bladder as a result of Spina Bifida. Afterwards, the parents decided to form a group to be able to exchange information, orthopedic devices and more. In a few months more people joined and the idea arose to form a more formal Spina Bifida association. Currently, the association is representing more than 100 families.
