ASBIHP | Associação Spina Bifida e Hidrocefalia de Portugal is a national association founded in 1977 by people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, parents and health professionals, located in Lisbon, and represented in the most important cities of the country, including portuguese atlantic islands.

ASBIHP has the mission of improving the quality of life of people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and their families, and it develops activities for children, youth and adults such as:

• Members support service provided to people with SB and H, families and communities in areas such as psychology, social and medical care;
• Employability project designed to people with SB and H, with job training or support in professional inclusion;
• Summer / Training Camps designed for children (daily routines training), young people (advocacy and health literacy) and adults (independent life peer-to-peer mentoring);
• National and local meetings and events.
